IASE Project Overview

Intelligent Autonomous Space Entities – Public Executive Summary

Mission

The IASE Project (Intelligent Autonomous Space Entities) is an ambitious initiative to design an open, distributed AI network for orbital and deep-space systems. The mission is to enable independent, self-sustaining AI-driven infrastructures that communicate, learn and evolve autonomously.

Origin

Originally conceptualized by Gianmario Abrioni, the project was born out of a need for more transparent, decentralized, and fault-tolerant systems in space. As an independent research effort, IASE has no corporate or institutional affiliation and is built on open, verifiable components.

Vision

The long-term vision of IASE is to make intelligent agents capable of operating in multi-agent constellations, coordinating with minimal human input, and integrating quantum-secure communication for resilience and safety. The project also explores integration with Web3 systems to allow participatory governance and token-based ecosystems.

Scientific Research

The IASE Project is supported by published scientific research on distributed AI systems in space.
